PET PHOTO COMPETITION 2017: Official Rules

Sponsor: Pet Photo Competition 17 (“Contest”) is sponsored by Mad Paws Pty Ltd is The Promoter (ABN 78 600 835 425) of 62 Birkley Road, Manly NSW 2095 (“Promoter”). This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook or Instagram. By entering this Contest, you are providing information to Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram.
Eligibility: This Contest is open only to individuals who are legal residents of Australia and are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees of the Promoter and the Promoter’s associated companies and their immediate families are ineligible to enter and win prizes.
Entry Period: The entry period for this Contest begins on 11th December 2017 at 12:00PM and ends on 18th December 2017 at 12:00PM (all times are Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT), UTC +11) (the “Entry Period”). All entries must be received by Promoter during the Entry Period.
How to Enter: Upload a picture of your pet to social media and tag one friend in competition entry post.
Entries: Entries (each an “Entry”) must:
(a) be submitted in digital form as listed above;
(b) be suitable for general audiences and not offensive, obscene, defamatory or illegal;
(c) be original (and entrants must own or control the copyright to their Entry and have sufficient rights to submit the work to this Contest); and
(d) not violate the rights of others.
Winner Selection: All Entries are subject to verification at Promoter’s sole discretion. After the Entry Period, a panel of judges comprised of representatives of Promoter will review all eligible Entries received by Promoter that have not been disqualified. On or about 18th December 2017 the panel will select a winning Entry that the panel determines, in the judges’ sole discretion, to be the most apt, interesting and appealing based on the following judging criteria:
The winning entrants will be notified via social media using the account they used to enter (the “Winner Notification”). Potential winners may be required, within one (1) week of Winner Notification being sent, to provide the Promoter further contact and residence information. In the event that a potential winner does not timely satisfy all of the above requirements, disqualification may result and an alternate winner may be selected based on the criteria listed above.
Conditions of exclusion: The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid, and prohibit further participation by an entrant in this Contest, if the entrant:
fails to verify their personal details and/or eligibility to enter the Promotion to the Promoter’s satisfaction;
tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion;
submits an entry which in the Promoter’s opinion is not in accordance with these terms and conditions;
acts in a disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or
engages in conduct in entering the Promotion which in the Promoter’s opinion is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. This includes where entrants share receipts or product labels to enter the Promotion or where entrants use multiple names or addresses to register multiple entries.
By entering this competition, particpants agree to Mad Paws using their photographs on social media and via any other medium at our descretion.
Release of liability: The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies and the agencies and companies associated with this Promotion will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
