About Lois

Welcome to my profile.
My name is Lois and I am originally from Scotland however have lived in Australia now for 8 years.
I have a long career working with a wide variety of animals previous work included 7 years managing a foaling unit for race horses and currently working for UQ equine hospital as a trainee vet nurse.
I am qualified to care for horses with a Higher National Diploma in equine science along with 15 years within the animal industry. I have previously run a pet sitting service in Scotland for three years between 2009-2011. (I also have expertise in administering medicines via injection, orally and first aid for animals).

I have a keen passion for working cocker spaniels and in particular training them to be successful working gun/ detection dogs. I am one of six breeders registered to breed Working cocker spaniel for the whole of Australia.

I treat all my animals as part of my family, this includes my 3 ponies, 3 dogs, and the cat all of which are very flexible and friendly with other animals. However it is extremely important any visiting animals are also the same.
