Greetings!
I have been house sitting/pet/plant and pool minding since January 2016 and have had many wonderful experiences with the pets I've met and home owners have given me some great feedback as well as personal references.
I have been working in the hotel/tourism industry for over 10 years. This all began in 2009 when I took up a position as Caretaker of a Guest House in Edinburgh, Scotland. I lived out my two year working-visa there and have continued working in boutique hotels in both Sydney and Melbourne since. This experience in hospitality means that home owners will benefit not only from my friendly pet care but also respect for your home.
Reading, writing, cooking, traveling, and pets provide me with the most joy in life. We've always had a dog in our family home so I'm more than comfortable playing with/walking/feeding your animal/s. Whilst I haven't grown up with cats I have befriended quite a few over the years and we get along very well. I think cats and I share a similar temperament.
House sits of 7 days or more are preferred but I will do my best to accommodate shorter stays if they fit into my calendar.

Jemima was great. Immediately attentive to our shy little cat, she looked after everything even notifying us of some scratches on her head (that we already knew about but were grateful for that level of attention). The house was left clean and tidy and she even emptied the bins and stripped the beds which we had not expected. Would be happy to recommend!

Jemima has very capably looked after our menagerie of animals more times than we can count. We have a spirited staffy, sociable tabby cat and four beautiful chooks. Our animals are always happy and healthy when we return. Jemima has an extra special relationship with our cat Reginald. 😍😍 We have a 3 bedroom house with a pool and a big garden and Jemima takes excellent care of the place. I would highly recommend her for any kind of property or pet!

Jemima sat for us for 10 days in December 2020 and I can recommend her highly. She bonded immediately with our extremely active and inquisitive Cornish Rex cat who hopped straight on to her shoulders when she came to visit. Jemima sent us regular updates while we were away and erything was in great order when we returned. We immediately booked her again for our next trip and both us and our cat look forward to Jemima house sitting again.
Jemima was very organised and reliable and the house was clean and tidy when we got back. The cat was very happy and so were we.
