We are an active family of five in Grovedale and for the past few years have been foster carers with the Border Force Detector Dog program (DDP). Whilst we don't have any permanent animals of our own (yet) due to our our involvement with the DDP, we are often the first people our friends call when they are going away and need a welcoming and comfortable home environment for their fur-baby. We love pet sitting and have opened our home many times. It allows our kids to experience life with different dogs and keeps us fit with daily (often twice daily) walks. We have helped care for several puppies from nine weeks of age through to older, more senior dogs. We have provided medication where required, adhered to special diets (who doesn't love organic chicken with boiled rice!), brushed, washed and walked and most importantly, cared and loved these animals as if they are our own. There's no bias in our home as there might be if we had our own dog, your best friend is treated just like our best friend.
