My name is Milly and I am an animal lover and qualified Veterinary Nurse.
Animals have always been my passion, which has lead me to pursue a career in the animal industry and become a pet sitter/ dog walker.
I am offering my services in daily home visits and dog walking. I am not currently available for pet sitting due to caring for my own pets.
Daily Home Visits: If your pet is more comfortable staying home whilst you're away and you don't require somebody to stay with your pet overnight, then daily home visits are available. I would visit in the morning and/or afternoon to feed your pets, take dogs for a walk, changing litter trays and provide enrichment/ play time for all pets. I also complete tasks around the house such as collecting mail, taking the bins out and watering plants. This option is great for older pets or those with separation anxiety. It allows your pets to stay within their own environment and lessens the likelihood of them becoming stressed or overwhelmed like they would staying in a boarding kennel/cattery. It also gives owners the peace of mind of knowing that someone is watching over their house.
Dog Walking: Dog walks around the neighbourhood or, with permission from the owner, driving the dogs to my favourite dog parks and beaches. I also have two Kelpies of my own that can come along (with owner permission) for a play date and socialisation.
I have an excellent knowledge of the needs of pets through my experience as a vet nurse. I have also volunteered at the Burwood and Peninsula RSPCA Shelters where I helped out in the quarantine and adoption areas, walked and socialised the dogs, created toys for the animals, provided enrichment and gave them a lot of love and cuddles.
I have had experience working with animals of all shapes and sizes including those that are aggressive and timid. I am also trained to give injectable, oral and topical medications to pets.
Working in the veterinary industry means that I have 24/7 assistance from vets and nurses working at my clinic, so you can be assured that your pet is always in safe hands.
I also have three pets of my own: a 2 year old Kelpie named Ruby, a 4 month old Kelpie named Kobe and a 1 year old cat named Sprout....
