Hi folks, Thomas here (Tom or Tim works too)
I'm from the Eastern Hills of Perth, WA, now living in Melbourne after a few years of homelessness, couch surfing, and drifting between odd, shortlived jobs. Spent most of lockdown putting down roots, and now that that's mostly done (here's hoping) I'm in need of income as much as, if not more than ever. One of the major costs associated with that lifestyle, especially when state-hopping, is the noticeable lack of creature companions. Of the long-term variety, anyway, there's always plenty of the little ones around (the really little ones, they usually have wings or lots of legs. Sometimes all of the above).
I really love animals of all kinds, and though I cannot claim to have intimate knowledge in the care of every creature great and small I do possess a will to learn and an abundance of love and personal respect for the creatures that I consider under my care; or at least a part of my life, for however long. I have experience raising and training dogs in private settings, both puppies and adopted rescues, and I spent a few months as a stand-in carer for a pack of larger dogs on behalf of a breeder. I've looked after some other mammals, birds, insects, arachnids, fish, and some reptiles for friends in the past, and I'm hoping to get more exposure to those through here.
I currently don't have a place of my own to which I can take the animals. Maybe down the track, but for now I'm only able to look after them by either actively keeping them company at parks or at their own home.
I look forward to hearing from you in 2024!
Regards,
Thomas...
