Hey!
My name is Lisa. I have been working with animals for 3 years now and have owned all kinds of pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits etc.) throughout my life so far. Since 2011 I have been volunteering for 2 animal charities - the Humane Society Sydney and a wildlife organisation protected cetaceans around Australia.
My most recent leap was becoming a foster carer. I took care of 2 sets of Mum cats and their babies from days after birth to a few weeks after they were weaned and ready to be adopted out. A challenging and at times emotional experience but well worth it and I can't wait to get back to foster caring when my circumstances suit.
Currently, there are two furry members of my family (and four chickens): one old grumpy dog, understandably as he has epilepsy, suffers from seizures, very bad arthritis and is 15 years old, but he couldn't be less loyal and we love him very much, and a young cat who followed us home when she was a kitten 3 years ago and nobody claimed her so she has been with us since.
I certainly appreciate you putting faith in me in taking care of your pets. I know how hard it is to hand over the reigns and I assure you I will shower them with love and superb care, as I would if they were mine....
