I knew I loved animals since I was very young. My very first memory as a kid is of Dax, a beautiful German shepherd that would stand guard next to my cradle when I was just a baby and whom, according to my mother, would follow me everywhere, as if he was trying to protect me from harm. I cant explain it, but ever since I developed a great sensitivity towards animals, It saddens me deeply every time I hear about people mistreating them, because in my eyes they are angels, little furry angels who come into our lives to give us unconditional love and affection. I have never seen a love so true and transparent than one of a dog, they don't care if you are rich, popular, or have any special talents (ok, maybe if you have a cookie in your pocket they notice) because in the end they do what all humans should but never do, they look beyond and give love without any hesitation.
I find that my Zen place is around animals. they seem to heal me every time I feel stressed at work, preoccupied about family or just sad. Throughout my life, my family encouraged me to have pets and build a connection with animals, both my mom and dad are dog lovers, so dogs and cats have always been around me. it really saddens me that as a student, and living with others having a pet of my own seems very difficult. This is the reason why i would like to start a career as a pet nanny. To be fare, I would voluntary do this for free, just to feel happy, but if I can have a retribution for doing something I love, then I feel like this is meant to be!
Pets are definitely more than just pets, they are members of the family and therefore, they deserve attention, love and respect. They deserve to grown in a healthy environment, surrounded by people who take their needs seriously and who are willing to compromise for their furry baby's well being....
