I believe animals were put on Earth to keep us humans company by bringing joy and easing daily stresses in life. The ability to help them brings in me a great sense of happiness. In many parts of the worls, animals do not get the luxury of living in our loving homes. I have undertaken a task to help such animals. From helping cats in Saudi Arabia to dogs in Malaysia, I tried whenever and where ever my journeys took me.
Heres a success story with some ingenuity:
In malaysia, a lot of dogs are abandoned to fend for themselves on the streets, often being mistreated by passersby. They had to live on what little scraps they could find.
A group of us managed to solve the food problem. However, we did not have enough resources to house them. This meant that the dogs were still being victims of mistreatment.
There had to prevent this. One day, I was sitting on the patio observing the various street dogs and some pets (they are often let out by owners to roam the streets). I noticed that the pets always looked better than the street dogs. Obviously because they were looked after by their owners.
Then it hit me! How can the street dogs pass off as being owned? The answer: dog collars. I put dog collars on the street dogs to test out a theory.
Success! The dog collars created an illusion that they are owned. This effectively warded off the people from abusing the animals. Soon thereafter, the dogs health improved and they were left alone by the abusers and welcomed by other individuals who would play with the dogs from time to time.
I love spending time with animals and would welcome any opportunities to spent time with them by way of being a sitter, walker, and a playmate. ...
