About Talia
I have owned Border Collies most of my life so have experience with intelligent, energetic and demanding breeds. I enjoy training the dogs I walk, groom and pet sit so you can expect to have a well mannered pet to come home to.
I can also assist with medication and taking your pet to the vet.
I can assist with puppy training, loose lead walking, manners, obedience and recall training 🐕

Currently training my dog Badger to be a helper dog. He's learning to help dogs with their socialisation, correcting them for inappropriate play, helping build their confidence around dogs/playing, leading by example, being a guide for me to easily notice when a dog is resource guarding etc.
I have worked with herding breeds my whole life so understand their needs and qwerks.
My own dogs has OCD, overstimulation so I'm very passionate about helping dogs with behaviour problems.
Badger and I like to help the dogs that come and stay with us by helping them with their training.
I use a balanced form of training. Lot's of positive reinforcement but also light corrections (mainly with voice) as your dogs needs to know if they're doing something naughty and to learn boundaries and impulse control. I like to use some training games to make the training more enjoyable for the dog, these games are great for recall and can help with reactive dogs.
I like to work on conditioning, helping dogs learn to love things that they dislike. My dog really disliked baths as a young dog, so I did a bit of conditioning and now he loves having a bath, will even get in the bath on his own and comes into the bathroom on his own (used to have to chase him around the house and forcibly put him in the bath).
I will provide daily exercise, enrichment, training as well as give you daily photo updates while your pet is in my care. Pick up and drop off is possible with a small surcharge and within a certain radius. Dogs under 1 year old are an extra $10 per day as they require more attention and supervision. I will only take dogs that are used to sleeping inside as I live in a complex so can't have dogs barking too much.
***Mandatory meet and greet. To ensure a stress free stay for your pet I only take bookings where a meet and greet is able to be done before. Due to this I won't be able to accept last minute bookings unless I already know your pet.
***Rates: rates are from certain time on drop off day till the same time on pick up day. For example if you drop off at 10am, pick up will also be at 10am. A small surcharge will apply if you wish to have them stay till 5pm for example.

Our second time using Talia and couldn’t be happier. Great communication to ease our worry about leaving our pup behind, we needn’t be concerned though because our dog had her own holiday while staying there and we could tell she had a great time 😊
