Hello all!
We are a loving family of three Susie, Phil and little Lukas who is now 4.
Susie and Phil are middle aged full-time working professionals with flexible working environments, balancing working from home in Belconnen to time in corporate office environments. Lukas attends preschool full-time and has an unlimited superhuman amount of energy.
We are currently living in a sizable ground floor apartment in Belconnen with a secure high fenced (approximately 180cm) medium sized (35sqm) courtyard backing onto a large secure communal grassed garden area. We are minutes away from multiple ovals and six minute drive from Lake Ginninderra Dog Park.
Both Susie and Phil have owned a variety of pets throughout our lives, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, fish and birds. Lukas is just beginning his journey into animal care and ownership, regularly playing and caring for animals belonging to friends and family.
Where we do not currently have any pets our intention is to adopt a small to medium sized dog in the near future. This means we have space for short term furbaby sitting for your small to medium sized dogs.
Working as a team we also offer pet walking, feeding and general animal related services across Canberra.
We can't accept dogs on the larger scale for pet sitting due to our current apartment, but can assist with walking and feeding any sized animal.
The overnight service is costed to take a few considerations into account, we select a base rate and Mad Paws adds a fee, Mad Paws then charges a 20% on the rate we receive, we have costed so that we both share these fees. Costing also includes the general services we will provide such as feeding, playing, toilet breaks, etc. each day in our care your dog will get 30-60 minute walk in the morning, time permitting a 15-30 min walk around lunch and a trip to the dog park later in the afternoon.
For drop off, we ask that this be after 9 AM, if you need to drop off earlier it’s preferable to schedule an additional sitting night prior to your departure, receiving an animal early and trying to maintain our own morning schedules is too challenging. For pick up we also ask that it’s not too late (or just schedule an additional night), again we have evening schedules that we need to maintain. From our perspective having a pet owner saving pet sitting costs at the cost of our morning or evening routine isn’t worth it or fair on our own family.
Crate sleeping is the preferred option, we find that its far more comfortable and settling for your dog. We also ask that when you drop off that you spend some time at our place so your dog is more comfortable in the new temporary environment.
If this sounds like the right fit then please feel free to contact us for a meet and greet!...
