Hi, I’m Mel — an animal lover and proud dog mum to Rudy, my gentle giant Weimaraner. Whilst I am new to MadPaws hosting- I’ve spent over 2 years training Rudy and have lifelong experience with dogs including Cocker Spaniels, Staffies, Labradors, and Cavaliers.

I work casually and am home everyday, and my husband is often home early, so your pup will have plenty of company and supervision. Together we provide daily walks, adventures, enrichment games, and supervised play. I don’t take dogs to dog parks or encourage random play - your dog’s safety and wellbeing always comes first. I am a proud proactive dog mum.

About Our Home
Dogs are family here! We live in a secure, dog-friendly home where pups are welcome inside, on the couch, or even the bed if that’s their thing. I separate dogs for meals and bedtime, supervise all play, and can provide a crate if preferred. I’m a big believer in positive, reward-based care.

About Rudy
Rudy is desexed, social, and gentle with little dogs (he loves to play bow and submit!). With medium and larger breeds, he matches energy for chasey or wrestle play, but also takes breaks. He isn’t possessive with food or toys, and after day one he settles into a calm “old lab” vibe.

Please share your pup’s quirks and favourite treats (Rudy votes cheese!). If your dog is friendly, cuddly, and enjoys company, we’d love to welcome them for their own holiday.
