About Karen & David

Hello, we're Karen & David, a married couple who loves pets! We both grew up around pets, so animals had been part of our entire life.

David's father was a Brazilian Mastiff breeder, so his house was always full of dogs. Karen's family always had rottweillers. Living in a small acreage, there was a time when she had 05 rottweillers at the same time!

Besides of having our own dogs our whole life, we started to work as pet sitters in 2016, taking care of dogs and cats. We also do foster care, as we feel passionate about taking care of those dogs in need of some love while they're waiting for their forever home.

We both work from home, so we're around all the time to supervise the pets. We live in a unit on the ground floor with a yard, so pets have enough space to enjoy and have fun inside and outside. Our yard is fully fenced, so they will be safe at all times.

We live just beside Tallebudgera Creek in Burleigh Heads, so part of our routine is to go for a walk alongside the creek every day, twice a day (weather permitting). We also live nearby a dog park, and we're happy to take your dog for a walk and play as part of our service, and that is included in the price.

We know most pet parents will miss their furry babies while away, so as part of our service we register your pet staying in our Instagram www.instagram.com/david.and.bowie, where we post daily updates in photos and videos.

Also, David studies about pet training as a hobby, so he knows about pet behaviour and he's happy to practice some tricks with your pet during the stay, so there's a chance your pet will go back home having learned one or two new tricks (please notice this is just a bonus, we don't do full-time training during the stay, unless that is previously negotiated).

All pets must be completely up to date with their worming, flea and tick treatments. If your pet requires any special diet please let us know.

Drop off is any time from 8am and pick up time is 24hours after that. If you pet requires to stay longer than the pickup time, then an additional fee of $20 is charged.

We kindly request you to please give your pet a bath before coming over.

A full refund will be offered to Pet Owners if they cancel up until 7 days before the booking at 12 noon. After which Pet Owners will be charged 50% of the total booking value.
