Hi, I’m Marika! I live with Ruby, my little Moodle, and have more than 20 years’ experience looking after cats and dogs in their owners’ homes, including Staffies, Brussels Griffons, Jack Russells and Cavoodles.

I’d love to welcome more dogs into my life through pet sitting. I’m offering short and longer overnight stays, with longer stays particularly welcome so your dog has time to settle into our routine. I’ll initially care for just one visiting dog at a time, alongside Ruby.

Our ideal guest is a small, socialised dog who is comfortable sharing their space with another dog. Finding the right match matters more to me than filling a booking. A meet and greet will help us check that both dogs feel comfortable, with room for companionship, play and their own downtime.

Your dog’s stay would include daily walks, visits to nearby parks suited to their comfort around other dogs, and indoor activities such as snuffle mats, puzzles and reward-based training. We have four parks nearby, giving us plenty of variety for walks and sniffing adventures.

I live alone with Ruby in an apartment with a courtyard. The courtyard is currently open, with secure fencing when hosting a dog. I work a hybrid schedule, with two office days each week when the dogs would be alone for approximately nine hours. This is an important consideration when deciding whether my home and routine suit your dog.

I have experience giving daily medication to a cat and am open to discussing straightforward tablet medication. I’m best suited to dogs with everyday care needs rather than those requiring intensive support or complex medical care.

Having used Mad Paws to find sitters for Ruby, I understand the trust involved in leaving your pet with someone else. I want to offer the thoughtful, affectionate care I look for myself, with each dog’s comfort and wellbeing coming first.
