Hello fellow pet lovers! I'm Sonja, and whilst I don't currently own any pets, I have had the pleasure for the past few years of walking and running dogs in our wonderful community. I've been with Madpaws since June of 2024, and have done drop ins for all sorts of pets, both the furry and the scaly kind! I've had quite a few interesting curve balls thrown at me from those pets too, so rest assured I'll handle anything that comes up.

By day I'm a secondary science and maths teacher, but once the bell rings I love a good walk, and why not couple that with my love of dogs? Teacher's Registration in SA requires police clearance and working with children checks and although we don't receive separate certificates for these I'm happy to send you my Teacher's Registration details.

I get it, life gets busy, that's why these services exist. I'm free most afternoons after work, and can be fairly flexible with my time. I keep my calendar up to date so clients are well aware of my availability.

When it comes to walking, safety is my first priority. A meet and greet is a must for new walking clients, to ensure your doggo is ok with me (I'm ok with all doggos, but sometimes they are hesitant with me). I'm also happy to work with you and your dog if anxiety or past issues are preventing a successful experience. Additionally, weather will always be checked prior to walking and alternative arrangements made if necessary. I've even got a clip on light I use if walking after dark.
