We are dedicated and very knowledgeable animal lovers and spend some of our time rescuing and caring for orphaned and injured wildlife. We live on a rural property (100 acres) and have various safe and secure indoor and outdoor areas for keeping your fur/feather family happy, healthy and ensuring they have a fun time staying with us. Reptiles are not an issue either.
We have fully fenced garden areas as well as a large outdoor enclosure for exercising which is approx 25m x 30m. Cats that are used to dogs are very welcome in our home and we do have enclosed safe areas for cats that are more shy and timid.
We share our life with our Kelpie, Papaye, as well as having chickens, peacocks and alpacas. We often have kangaroos, wombats and possums in care too - these are kept separate from domestic pets as they will be rehabilitated back into the wild.
I have had dogs for over 25 years, and used to breed and show Irish Setters. We are both members of a wildlife rescue organisation as well as being snake handlers and have vast experience with raising and treating many species of wildlife.
Having animals ourselves we know it is often hard to find the right people to care for your animals when you go away which is why we want to help others. We are happy to administer your pets prescribed medications as necessary.
You can bring your pet to us in Currawang, alternatively we can arrange for you to drop off and pick up in Canberra or Goulburn most weekdays and in most cases we can also arrange collection from your home :-)
Discounts are offered for long stays except Christmas/New Year and Easter holidays. We try to be flexible with our cancellation policy as we know plans can change last minute but cancellations made less than 7 days during Christmas/New Year/Easter are subject to one nights fee. We cannot accept aggressive dogs or dogs that can jump 1.8m fences (this is for the safety of the other animals we have on the property)....
