About us - me and João

My love and admiration for animals and nature have been cultivated since an early age, as I was raised surrounded by animals, at home and during visits to my grannies in the countryside. There, I had the opportunity to play with various pets and farm animals. At the age of 11, I even had my own horse for four years. I got my first dog, Minnie, when I was 7. After her, I had other best friends: Pupila, Lara, Cadu, Biluca, and Ziggy, who sadly passed away recently, leaving me with a broken heart. I've always advocated for street dogs back home, rescuing some myself and supporting some NGOs along the way. Even though I never had a cat of my own, I lived with a couple of felines and developed a deep love and respect for them too. 

My partner, Joao, had a dog of his own when he was a teenager, Argos, which recently passed. His experience with pets grew as he started being chosen by his friends to take care of their pets whenever they were off. He took care of lots of dogs, cats, and a big family of tortoises for the past 15 years.
