About Rachael

I am an animal care professional with 8 years paid experience. I have experience looking after a range of domestic and exotic species including dogs, cats and different kinds of birds. I have lots of experience with animals of all types including young animals with training requirements, multiple animals housed together, aged/geriatric animals in need of palliative care (including providing medication, monitoring health issues and supplements). I can identify health issues if they pop up while you are away! I also have experience in rehabilitation of native wildlife, including hand raising very young animals when required. I hold a masters degree in science in veterinary research, and my main area of interest in animal welfare. I also have experience in training animals basic behaviour in line with both behavioural management and health related issues.

I love hanging out with pets, but as I’m unsure of my long term location not quite ready to commit to one myself... and therefore would love to help look after yours instead!...
