Hi, this is Laura.
I’m originally from China and moved to Melbourne in 2014 to study at Melbourne University. After 11 years here, I’ve really grown my roots in Melbourne.

I’ve loved animals since I was little. Back in China, I had a toy poodle named Paopao, born in 2012. Later, we brought home another toy poodle, Niuniu, so he wouldn’t feel lonely. They had three puppies in 2015, and even though we planned to rehome one or two, we couldn’t let them go—they were all part of the family. We raised them from bottle-feeding as babies until they grew old. Sadly, Paopao passed away in 2017 from a car accident, which made me understand even more how important safety is when caring for pets.

This year, since I finally have my own home, I was able to adopt two stray cats who were found near my workplace. They’re now part of my family too.

Because I know how much our pets mean to us, I take the responsibility of pet sitting very seriously. I understand how worried we can feel when we’re away and how pets may feel uneasy in a new environment. That’s why I’ll carefully follow any instructions you leave, make sure your pets are safe, healthy, and comfortable, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel at ease.
