About Melanie
I have been around German Shepherds my entire life - so I have experience dealing with smart, energetic large dogs! Throughout my time here on MadPaws, I’ve also had experience taking care of the babies (under 12 weeks), small-medium dogs and pups who are slightly temperamental (everyone has their quirks!!)
So, I’ll tailor my energy to your pup - happy to run with them in nature, a quiet stroll around the Park, a crazy battle of tug-of-war or just lounging on the couch at home! Happy to assist with simple training as well
If my partner and I are headed out for an adventure, we'll always bring them along - whether it’s out at the beach, the shops or just for a drive. Rest assured, your pup will not be left alone (if they are, I will inform you and let you know why and for how long!)
PET HOSTING / DAY CARE:
Requirements: fully vaccinated + good with young puppies (we have our own young pup in the house 😊).
Your pup will have access to a medium, secure courtyard and all areas indoor. They will also sleep indoors with heating/cooling (if needed).
I aim to deliver the best possible experience for your pup during their stay here. Your pup will be treated to a minimum of one walk a day to enjoy the fresh air and stretch out their legs. If your pup needs more, I'm always happy to take them out again! They will be well fed, played with and given lots of cuddles! Always happy to them to the nearby park (tons within a 5 mins drive). I have a dog hammock in my car so your pup will be safe and comfortable during the ride there!
Additionally - Daily updates via pictures (and videos if requested) will be provided as well to put your mind at ease!
PRICE:
There is a surcharge during public holidays, school breaks and peak periods - so please be mindful when you’re making a booking. Happy to work out a better daily rate if your pup is low-maintenance or for a long-term booking! Just ask me during our meet-and-greet!

A full refund will be offered to Pet Owners if they cancel up until 7 days before the booking at 12 noon. After which Pet Owners will be charged 50% of the total booking value.

We had never previously used a pet-sitter, so were a little nervous, but they were both so kind and accommodating, from the pickup and drop-off to lots of reassuring photo & text updates. Melanie is a very polite and friendly sitter who took great care of Charlie. He came back well exercised and slept well once we got home.

Melanie was fantastic with our two dogs one little, one large. First time we have left them with anyone but felt Melanie was the perfect person to care for them. As was proven. We got regular photos and updates on how they were going and the dogs looked so relaxed and at 'home '. We felt that they had also had a holiday while we were on ours. Thanks Melanie.

Mel has taken exceptional care of Dali for two nights while we were away. Communication before and during was terrific,. Mel made us feel very comfortable and was happy to answer all our questions.. All the photos show he has had a wonderful time.
