I'm Amelia and I would love to look after your best friend whilst you are away! I specifically look after rabbits as well as guinea pigs and all other small animals. Bunny mum to Mr G and Suga, I have had 9 years of experience in caring for rabbits and a further 3 years in boarding guinea pigs and mice. You can have peace of mind knowing that your pet is in a safe, dog and cat free environment, getting the best of care, lots of attention, cuddles and love!

During your furbabies stay, at night time they are housed indoors in the 'bunny area’. Each bunny and guinea pig has their own hutch to call home and will be rotated to have individual access of the 12 square meters of bunny area to run around, play with the range of toys and get exercise. During the day time, they will also be rotated to have access to the 45 square meters of backyard. The backyard is extremely secure, with 30 square meters of grass and plants to play in and 15 square meters of sandstone ground. It is enclosed by our house and 2 meter high cement fences, and there can be no burrowing out as the grass is laid on top of a cement base that follows through to the fences and walls of the house. We have a pool, however no rabbit or guinea pig I have ever had in my yard has ever gone near nor fallen into the pool, however if you feel that it is hazardous to your pet, we have secure fencing that can be put up so that your pet will be unable access inside the pool area. No animals are put outside in temperatures exceeding 25º, however they stay in the fanned bunny area, keeping cool.

Rabbits are provided a balanced diet of timothy hay, 1 tbs of oxbow rabbit pellets per day and 3-4 kale leaves as well as other fresh veggies each day. Guinea pigs are fed a similar diet of timothy hay, 1-2 tsp of Oxbow guinea pig pellets per day and 2-3 kale leaves as well as other fresh veggies each day. All animals have a constant supply of fresh water. I supply water out of bowls, however I do have water bottles if that is what your pet prefers. If the diet I supply does not suit your pet, it is able to be altered or changed according to their needs/weight/age. Rabbits and guinea pigs also love to graze at the grass and plants in the backyard throughout the day. Similarly, mice and rats would be provided with pellets as well as fresh veggies, fruits, grains, seed etc. to suit their individual needs.

Any special needs and elderly pets are more than welcome! For three years I was bunny mum to special needs bunny Joss. Having her means that I am very experienced in medicating pets (syringe feeding, giving injections, ointments etc).
On the unlikely occasion that your pet may become unwell, emergency transport is available to North Shore Veterinary Hospital, which offers 24 hour emergency services. Taxi fees as charged.
For safety of other rabbits, all rabbits who board must provide a vaccination certificate.
