Hi, I'm Karin!

I'm a passionate dog lover who truly treats every dog as a family member. Dogs have always been my world – I grew up with my beloved dog Connie, who was my companion for almost 18 amazing years. More recently, I had the joy of caring for Tippi, a rescue dog, and we shared so many beautiful moments together before she recently passed away. Both Connie and Tippi taught me so much about patience, unconditional love, and the dedication it takes to care for dogs through all stages of their lives.

Why I'm a great dog sitter: I genuinely love caring for dogs and have extensive experience with senior dogs, sick dogs, puppies, and anxious dogs. Dog care runs in my family too – my mum is an aged dog carer and my sister is a certified dog nutritionist, so I've learned from the best!

I'm also experienced with complex medical care, including administering medications (managing multiple medications at once), giving subcutaneous injections, and other specialized care needs. I've cared for my own dogs as senior dogs and supported them through various health conditions, so I understand what it takes to provide compassionate care for dogs with special medical needs. Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional by any means, just have hands-on experience through caring for my own dogs.

I have a special passion for making homemade dog food, which I started doing when my own dog was diagnosed with a heart condition. While I no longer have dogs living with us, I'm happy to prepare nutritious homemade meals for your dog based on their specific dietary needs – just let me know what they require!

My availability and routine: I work part-time from home, which means I'm basically always home and have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry friend. Your dog will receive regular walks every 3-4 hours (around 10 minutes each), or alternatively, one big 45-minute walk every 6 hours – whatever suits their needs best. I'm committed to ensuring they get the daily exercise they need and don't get bored.

My living situation: I live with my partner (who also loves dogs!) in a one-bedroom apartment. We're located 10min walk from the nearest dog park, making it convenient for regular exercise and playtime. Please note that dogs must be comfortable using stairs, or if they're under 10kg, I'm happy to carry them up and down.

What I offer: All dogs sleep indoors with us, and your pup will receive plenty of attention, love, and care throughout their stay. I understand the trust it takes to leave your beloved companion with someone, and I'll treat your dog with genuine devotion.

Important note:  Before accepting a booking, I need to know if your pet has any special behavioral issues or requires any out-of-the-ordinary care.
