About Amanda

We have been offering dog boarding services on Mad Paws for many years, but we had to close our books to new clients as we were unable to meet demand.

We continued to care for our regular clients though, and have gradually developed our business into a specialist greyhound home boarding option offering premium, resort-style accommodation for greyhounds. On our journey, we also adopted our own greyhound, Fleur, and have fostered many others, helping them find new forever homes. We have a strong, positive relationship with Greyhounds As Pets (GAP), and received a GAP Outstanding Contribution Award in 2021 for our work with foster greyhounds.

In addition to extensive experience managing the behaviour of the many dogs (greys and other breeds) who have visited our home over the years, my PhD in Psychology enables me to understand the anxiety that often accompanies the need to leave our greyhounds from time to time. For this reason, ensuring that you know they’re content & relaxed is extremely important to us. Each day, we upload photos/videos of your grey to their very own link on our website, Ultimate Hills Pawsitting. This give you an overview of your grey's day in their very own ‘travel blog’, meaning, wherever you are, you can follow their daily adventures! This portfolio is available for you to download and keep!

Additionally, we offer 'fully catered' or 'room only' boarding options and pick-ups and/or drop-offs are available by negotiation.

We're confident that we can provide your greyhound with a completely unique and amazing holiday in an idyllic environment where they are well-exercised (as appropriate for their needs) and mentally stimulated to ensure they return home happy & healthy!

If you would like your greyt mate to stay in home-based resort style accommodation while you're away, please feel free to enquire about our services and availability. I'm very sorry, but we are not accepting bookings for other breeds.

A full refund will be offered to Pet Owners if they cancel up until the day before the booking at 12 noon. After which Pet Owners will be charged 50% of the total booking value.
