I've grown up in the inner city, with a cat and a dog. BUT, I spent a lot of my time in my childhood and adolescence out in the country with farm animals. It wasn't any speculation that, from an early age, animals of great and small sizes were my passion and my love: they had my heart. From looking after dairy cows and riding horses to training my Kelpie x Labrador in Melbourne's city and making my stubbornly snubby townhouse cat adore me, I've developed a caring nature for animals and a greater understanding of everything they are. I have also worked in a community pet centre for just under a year, nurturing rescue kittens daily and advising customers on correct pet care in regards to food, medicine and grooming. Over my lifespan so far, I know that the love I have for animals is unlike any other: it's big, bold and unbelievably empathetic. If a dog is sad, you'll find me being sad right there with it. I also, however, have a knack for connecting with them, making them happier, sleepier, whatever it takes. I'm not going to sell you on some hippie-vegan fantastical idea that I'm an "animal whisperer", but I do believe I'm the best candidate as a pet sitter, because I'm careful, honest, open-hearted and always smiling, and your pet will love me just as much as I'll love it (but not as much as you love it, don't worry). I'll bring your pet sunshine, kindness and most importantly, peace of mind for you, as a carer.
