About Dacie
Hi there! I've graduated from Murdoch University with a double major in Animal Science and Animal Health. I used to work as a vet nurse and animal physiotherapist. I am a professional dog walker and am able to handle dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments 😊 I am also pet first aid certified!
We live in Leeming and just across from us is a big oval. We have a large backyard that is fully fenced with heaps of shelter and a large grassy area to do zoomies! Here at The Ruff Barn, we have extensive experience in caring for animals and care for your pet is individualized to their needs. We strive to create a positive experience for your dog!
SERVICES
DAYCARE:
Starting from $30, minimum 3 hours
Temperamental trial: $20 (1hr observation)
We cater to pups of all ages as soon as they are done with their puppy vaccinations (at least 12 weeks of age). All pups attending daycare are required to be up-to-date with their C5 vaccinations, flea and tick treatment and deworming.
A temperament trial is mandatory as each dog is unique and we need to consider if your pup has the right temperament for daycare. During the trial, we would monitor their body language and reactions to social interactions with other dogs.
DOG WALKING:
Starting from $25 (minimum 30 minutes)
We make walks as exciting as possible for your fur baby! I will take your pup to a nearby park, around your block or at any dog-friendly location. Walks like these are incredibly therapeutic for your pup as it promotes socialization and also increase your pup's confidence. Each walk includes a variety of stimulation such as toys, obstacle courses, balls, and many more!
PET BOARDING (pet stays at my place overnight):
Starting from $40/night and an additional $10-15 for an extra pet. I offer a complimentary meet-and-greet to ensure that your pup feels comfortable at my place and we get to know each other a little better before you entrust me with your fur baby.
I do give discounts for long-term stays (duration longer than 2 weeks). Services include feeding, walking, enrichment toys, adventure walks etc.
PET SITTING/HOUSE SITTING (I stay at your place overnight):
Starting from $50/night and an additional $10-15 for another dog from the same household.
I offer a free meet-and-greet to ensure that your pup feels comfortable with me in your home. During the meet-and-greet, we will talk about your pet's routine (feed, walks etc), allergies (if any), health issues (if any) etc.
HOME VISITS:
Starting from $25 (minimum 30 minutes) and an additional $10 for another dog from the same household.
I would travel to your home to check up on your pet(s). I will feed your pup (if required), a change of water, clean up any mess they've made and give them lots of love and cuddles! Each home visit includes photos and video updates, playing with toys, and treats (provided by the owner). Walks can be included too if required - puppy needs to be fully vaccinated before going on walks.
PET TAXI
Starting from $15 one-way trip (depending on distance)

Dacie was an amazing sitter for our puppy Casper. He enjoyed his stay so much and definitely felt at home during his visit. Dacie took multiple photos and sent these to us on a daily basis -It made leaving him behind so much easier for us.
