A warm hello and welcome to my profile.
Due to long term clients relocating interstate, I am opening my books to new clients for the first time in over 2 years.
Please make sure you read through my profile before contacting me, there is important information included that you need to be aware of.
I am an experienced, mature, reliable full time sitter with a real love for animals of all shapes and sizes. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, fish and rodents and have, at some stage, owned them all.
I am knowledgeable about training, behaviour and everyday issues in relation to dogs.
I am not working another job or studying from home while pet sitting. I am pet sitting in my home. The difference? My attention is on the pets, not dealing with my other job or doing an assignment while the pets are around. I'll notice when they yawn and say "big yawn" π
Full supervision at ALL times, if your dog is here, it will NEVER be left alone, EVER!
Daycare sessions are Tuesday to Friday, between 7AM and 6PM.This service is strictly for regular or semi regular attendance (a minimum of 1 sessions a week). I do not offer one offs or casual daycare spots. Extra charges may apply for late pick up. Half day is available on application at rate reflective of shorter service time.
Daycare is not offered on public holidays.
I have a small (and ever so fortunately, very loyal) clientele, for whom I provide service. All dogs attending my home know each other very well and I know each of them just as well, this familiarity, being part of a stable pack in a safe place, ensures your pet is comfortable and happy. I feel limiting my service, to this type of client, enables me to provide my clients and their animals with a superior service. It also means I will never be booked out by casual or one off clients when YOU need me.
I have a regular group of dogs who come for daycare, most of them for many years. I consider them to be my part time family. They are an awesome albeit crazy lot who know that there is a strict no fighting ever rule and definitely no pooping or peeing inside. They enjoy tug o war, wrestling and sleeps on the lounge, lap sits, snuggles and, numbers permitting, on quieter days, excursions to the beach and park.
Your animals will be well cared for and given real affection and attention in my care. Dogs are never left unattended in my home. Pets are cared for as part of the family and have access to inside as well as a shady pergola area and a large, grassy lawn. The yard is secured with a 6 foot fence and gates are padlocked to ensure they remain closed and theft proof.
I am happy to chat with you to answer any questions you may have and to find out about your pets specific needs and idiosyncrasies. It is as important to me as it is to you to ensure you feel completely comfortable that your pets needs will be well catered for in your absence. I know how hard it is to leave your pet with another person. Choosing the right person to pet sit can be a big decision. The two most important things are your pets are well cared for and that you can truly relax knowing they are in great hands.
So, if you're looking for more than a different sitter every time, if you want "that someone" to be a part of your dog's life, to care for your precious baby when you're not around; that one other place where your dog feels at home, the "fun aunt" or "grandma" (the good one, not the mean one with whiskers) who keeps them happy and safe when you're not there to, I'd love to hear from you.
Advanced bookings are essential.
What to expect: I do insist on meeting any pets who will be cared for in my home prior to accepting bookings. You are welcome to visit with your dog, Tuesdays to Fridays after 4.30, or on the weekend by appointment. Please be mindful when visiting, some animals can be protective of their owner. Should you arrive when someone is dropping off or picking up their dog, please give them space.
PLEASE NOTE!
***Pets entering my home must not, to the best of your knowledge, be carrying contagious conditions, such as kennel cough, conjunctivitis and ringworm, I have my other client's animals as well as my own to protect and I take that very seriously.
*** I accept, in my home, desexed, house trained, vaccinated, socialised dogs over 12 months old. All preventative flea, tick and worming medication must be up to date. At this stage I am only accepting dogs 20kgs and under. There are larger dogs in my pack.
***I do not accept Chihuahua or herding dogs.
*** Yes! I take staffys.
*** I do not offer service for aggressive animals or animals in heat, with litter or whelping.
I am confident administering medication orally and by syringe.
I am confident expressing anal glands (externally, with compliant dogs) Extra charge will apply for this service.
Thank you for reading through to the end.
Looking forward to hearing from you
