I have always had a dog growing up but arent ready to commit to one fulltime just yet, so pet sitting is the perfect dog fix for us as a family.  I have two kids who adore dogs (9 & 14).  We live in a lovely fully fenced home in a quiet cul-de-sac with great walking paths and parks.  We have the perfect yard for a dog to play and even go for a swim in the pool.  Plenty of shade to rest and your dog will never be lonely.
