Having recently moved from The Inner West to a large block in Moss Vale (Southern Highlands) I thought it was the perfect opportunity to look after other peoples “most precious possessions” in my home. I have regularly been entrusted to look after friends dogs where they happily joined in with my dogs and were inside with us. I have looked after some Assistance Dogs over the years both long term (6 weeks) and for weekends. I used to be a Delta Volunteer with my Golden Retriever “Gordon” visiting palliative care patients in hospital.
My love of animals stems from growing up on a farm, where animals were many and varied.
I progressed to becoming a Vet Nurse, so administering medication is not an issue.
My yard (1,400m2) is fully fenced, but no ‘jumpers’ please. I have beds, but think is best you bring theirs to give them familiarity and bring their food. They can sleep inside if house trained, I also have a secure gauzed in verandah, ideal for wet weather. My house has regularly been described by friends with pets and “dog heaven”. Recently I have completed a and Advanced Certificate Dog Behaviour Course at Tafe.
They must be desexed and vaccinated and I require proof of both. I am not interested in aggressive dogs, as I wish to provide a peaceful, relaxed and happy environment for all.
I like to with you before your first visit and you can come for an inspection to ensure they will be safe, happy and well cared for.
You will be required to bring their food so there will be no changes to their diet.
If you prefer them in their own home, I was a Real Estate Agent in Sydney so have been entrusted with the keys to many homes over many years.
