About Me

Hi, thanks for taking the time to check out my profile! My name's Emma, and I'm a friendly and reliable animal-lover looking for the opportunity to hang out with some awesome pets! As a qualified Animal Handler and Zookeeper, I am regularly trusted with providing the highest quality care for all sorts of animals, from dogs and cats to goats and kangaroos, and even snakes and sharks!

Animal Experience

My working days are filled to the brim with animals... And I still want more!

After studying animal behaviour, training and care at both university and TAFE, I now work weekends at Taronga Zoo and fulltime on weekdays with Jetpets Animal Transport in Sydney. In this role, I collect pets from clients' houses, assist in veterinary treatment, and ensure the animals are comfortable, happy and safe for their flights. Of course, this looks different for every individual - it may involve a training session, going for a massive run around the park, having a cuddle, playing with toys, or even an extended wrestling match on the floor before they are happy and ready to fly!

I'm always taking photos and videos to send to clients, as I understand hard it can be to trust someone with looking after such an important member of the family. Care and communication are key, and you can trust me to be reliable, friendly and professional.

Throughout my six-year career with animals so far, I've worked with domestic animals with Jetpets, natives and exotics with Taronga Zoo, farmyard animals with Kindifarm, and also with aquatic species at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium. I also volunteer as a Wildlife Rescuer with Sydney Wildlife in my free time, so I'm typically popping out a few times a week to rescue a lorikeet from a laundry, a possum from a porch or a roo from a roadside.

I am clean, tidy and a non-smoker, and would treat your home and animals with the utmost respect. I provide a wide variety of services, including pet visits, dog walking, training and transport.
