For as long as I can remember I've loved animals and have grown up with various breeds of dog. I have completed a Certificate 2 in Animal Studies (Science), I'm also currently doing an Online Bondi Vet, Animal training course and have also done work experience at a vet.
Already I have helped out some family friends, pet sitting whilst they were on holidays. I am very much looking forward to a career in animal care so would love to get more experience by looking after your pet/s and I'm looking forward to spoiling them so much that I'll treat them like my own furry friend.
*DON’T ACCEPT PET SERVICES IN MY OWN HOME FOR LONG TERM CARE*
PDC:
*PDC services will happen at pet owners home*
Pet sitting:
- Overnight care for your pet
- House maintenance / House keeping rules
- Mail run
- Trash collection / Trash run
- Poo patrol (if requested)
- Watering plants (if requested)
- Administering medication to pets (if required) -
*intravenous (needles) medication I don’t feel comfortable giving*
House visits:
- Stimulation session & Enrichment games / Playtime
Pets are need to be engaged with the world around them so they need to play, and work for their food. So these games will make them engaged.
I will also play their most favourite game. Whether or not that is taking them for a run around the backyard, playing hide ’n’ seek, playing fetch with a nerf plastic gun or shooter / frisbee & or other games, training course / obstacle course.
- Feeding session
Pets are going to be involved to find and scavenge for their food. I will be using the technique of either ‘scatter feeding’, or using a sniffle mat or even as simple as adding warm water to the dry food, this enhances the nutritional value in the dog's food & also will slow down the feeding.
Dog walking:
I also offer puppy socialisation group walks with only my dogs (1 greyhound and one 18yr old beagle). Max & Sarah. Again this will depend if you are local to the area and your location is walking distance from my place. My dogs would be more than happy to join in for a walk with your dog.
OR
A 1hr walk with your dog I'd be more than happy to go on a shorter walk if your dog isn't too friendly towards other dogs, this depends on numerous factors:
- mobility issues
- age of the dog
- breed
- size
*For example, Greyhounds only need about 15mins, as because Greyhounds are extremely lazy or French Bulldogs only need about 15 - 25mins of walking a day. As they are Brachycephalic dog breeds and they are prone to have breathing problems if it is too hot or they exercise for too long. So the time of day when going for a walk is extremely important for these types of dogs.*
Looking forward to hearing from you
