Since I was a little I have lived in a household full of love and compassion for animals (dogs, cats, stick insects, snails, gerbils, rats.. well yeah you get the gist).
My first dog was a medium sized Brittany Spaniel who I grew up loving and caring for. This taught me a thing or two about spaniels; their energetic personalities and surprising strength, always making sure us humans had a proper walk! My second pup is a small rescue dog who was one of 6 in a litter left on the side of a road. He is mixed breed; part border terrier (always needing love, affection and lots and lots of attention). And finally, I've got a 3-year-old large black lab, who is massively soppy and for some reason thinks he's a lap dog- he's never happy when I inform him that actually, he is not. So I have plenty of experience with different breeds.
I also have plenty of feline experience, I have 3 cats- 1 beautiful Moggy who had 7(unexpected) kittens, one of which we kept, they are now both over 10 years old. As well as this I now have another unexpected kitty who I rescued from our garden hedge, she was around 4 weeks old when I found her. I weaned and nurtured her watching her grow from weak and fragile to a strong, crazy but loving kitten.
Recently I have moved from the UK to Sydney and have had to say farewell to my furry(and not so furry) friends, which as you can imagine as a pet owner, was pretty hard going. I am looking to spend some time each week to share my love for animals, whether it be pet sitting, pet daycare(at their home), house visiting cleaning pens, cages, etc or dog walking, anything animal related and I will be willing!...
