Hi my name is Natasha! I'm a 27 year old marine biologist. I am a skilled dog trainer and taught for 4 years up until 2022 when I started my PhD. I live in manly, grew up in Narrabeen and I love all animals big and small. I work on my PhD 35 hours a week but have very flexible hours and work from home.
I have over 5 years experience in animal husbandry/assisting vet nurses as well as my first aid certificate, canine obedience training, RIC (response and immediate care of animals) certificate and a police check.
Why Do I Petsit?
I have previously worked as a kennel hand at my local vets and various dog hotels/dog daycares on the northern beaches, where I would tend to cats and dogs. Some pets are better suited for this than others. Dogs that aren't suited for it include elderly dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, rescue dogs and dogs who aren't very social. Because of the huge number of dogs the staff have to look after, a lot of dogs are often overlooked. I found it distressing not having enough time to give to each dog and I wanted to offer a nicer alternative. I love being around animals and taking dogs out for a play/walk, I also adore cats and can eventually convince even the shyest cats to sit next to me on the couch. I understand how hard it can be to find a carer you can trust to keep your pets happy and safe. I'm happy to schedule a time to meet before you decide :)
No shy, old or anxious pet/pets should be left at the vets or pet hotel when there is a cheaper/stress-free option. My fees are negotiable and I'm happy to be a regular for anyone close by! :) ...
