Hi, I’m Courtney. I work in enterprise technology sales and live on Brisbane’s northside with my golden retriever, Poppy, and my Oriental Shorthair cat, Sting.

I live by myself with no children and work from home most of the week, so visiting dogs have plenty of company and supervision. I have a small secure yard for toilet breaks and fresh air, and I mainly offer weekend stays.

I’m especially comfortable with golden retrievers and all their very golden quirks — sensitive tummies, hotspots, medications, shedding, clinginess, sleeping on the bed and following you from room to room.

Safety is my priority, so I keep things intentionally small and home-based. I accept one visiting dog at a time, with no group boarding or outings. Dogs sleep inside with me and are treated as part of the household.

Sting’s safety is very important to me, so I can only accept dogs who are calm around cats and do not have a history of significant reactivity, aggression or strong prey drive.

I’m happy to follow detailed feeding instructions, manage supplements or medications, and keep an eye on skin, tummy or behavioural changes. I prefer a meet-and-greet for first-time guests so Poppy and your dog can get comfortable together.

This setup is best suited to friendly, house-trained dogs looking for a quiet, one-dog-at-a-time weekend stays.
