Hi Fur Baby Parents!

My name is Kristina, and I’ve had a lifelong love for animals of all shapes and sizes.

I grew up on a farm in a small town on the South Island of New Zealand, surrounded by dogs, cats, cows, sheep, and chickens. That’s where my passion for caring for animals began, and it has remained a huge part of my life ever since.

I’m a caring, reliable, and loving person who takes great pride in providing the highest level of care for every pet I look after. My goal is to create a true “second home” where your pet feels safe, loved, and my house becomes like their second home. 

I share my home with my partner, our 3 year old son, my pet turtle Terry, and my ginger cat Hamilton, who I adopted from the AWL after the passing of my beloved Bullmastiff.

Over the past two years, I’ve gained experience through pet sitting, dog walking, and daily pet care. I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including those who may show signs of dog, food, or people reactivity, or those who pull on the lead.

I’m also experienced in administering medication to both cats and dogs, whether in tablet form or via syringe (excluding injections).

Hamilton is very tolerant of dogs and puppies. However, for everyone’s safety, I’m unable to host pets who show aggression toward cats. My son has grown up around dogs of all breeds and understands their playful and sometimes bouncy nature. That said, I completely respect that not all dogs are comfortable around young children, so I’m unable to host pets who aren’t suitable around kids or cats.

My partner is currently recovering from a spinal injury and is home most of the day, only leaving for short appointments once or twice a week (no longer than two hours). This means your pet will have constant supervision and the option to spend most of their time indoors if they prefer.

I work with dogs in the mornings and also work from home in insurance, ensuring there is always someone home to care for your pet.

Our home has a fully fenced backyard and a pool—perfect for pups who love a swim!

Before confirming a booking, I like to chat through a few details to ensure your pet’s stay is safe, comfortable, and tailored to their needs:

• Temperament around cats and children
• Feeding routine
• Walking behaviour (especially around other dogs)
• Sleeping arrangements (including whether they’re allowed on the bed)
• Any allergies or medical requirements
• Daily routine
