I am a first year, mature age vet student with a great deal of experience with dog handling & husbandry. I am a long-time volunteer with a greyhound rescue/rehoming group, previously had four years at the RSPCA Queensland caring for small domestic pets & have undertaken pet-sitting for some time now.
Most importantly, I have been a pet ‘parent’ most of my life! I am lucky to presently share my life with three beautiful rescue dogs – greyhounds Beau & Dee, & Torrey, a shepherd cross. They are my world & I treat your furkids with the same degree of loving care. My goal is to not only spoil your precious pets, but to allow you peace of mind so you can relax and enjoy your holiday knowing they are safe and sound - I'm only to happy to send regular text updates & photos, or Skype if you prefer!
My two-bedroom house is very doggo friendly - multiple water bowls, dog beds, two toy baskets, a good size undercover verandah, a small full-fenced backyard and dogs welcome on any and all of the furniture. I have cooling mats, air conditioning and a clam pool for the hot weather. There are ovals and parks as well as several vets nearby. My three dogs are very friendly, though Beau (the fawn greyhound) can initially be a bit wary until he realises the new doggo is a friend. They are all used to hanging with little dogs & love the extra company!
My home is open to pet sitting dogs or smaller animals (e.g. rats or birds), or I am more than happy to offer a home visiting service (not overnight though sorry) for any and all types of pets!
*** Please note: During the university semester, I am away for several hours on four weekdays, and as such any animals staying with me during the week will need to be okay being left with only doggy company for that time. I will therefore only be able to mind dogs that experience separation anxiety on weekends and uni holidays. Thank you for your understanding! ***...
