About Nyissa
Hey there fur-mama's and fur-papa's!
My name is Nyissa, I'm a 21 year old student currently studying at USC and working my way up to become a veterinarian!
I have always had a BIG love and passion for animals for as long as I can remember. I've kept many types of animals and helped take care of many more. Name it, I've probably at some point owned it or pet sit it! I have experience with (and am able to care for*) the following;
-Dogs: all sizes and breeds including working dogs. I have experience working with dogs that have behavioral issues such as aggression, anxiety, fear and trauma.
- Cats (feral, stray and tame)
- Birds: budgies, cockatiels, small parrots and cockatoos
- Aquarium pets
- Guinea pigs,
- Rabbits
- Ferrets (*Please be aware it is currently illegal to own ferrets within QLD)
I believe all animals, all species, all walks of life, deserve a life full of fun, love and enrichment and I really do advocate for this. With my extensive knowledge of animals and their needs through years of hands on experience and research, I'm a great sitter for your furry friend! I also have my licence and a reliable car and can transport your animals if needed (ie. Emergency or to the park) I have a car harness for dogs for their safety and a cat carrier if you do not have one.
I will not turn away clients with behavioural issues as long as I am made aware of them prior to our meet and greet and I believe we make a good fit. Every animal deserves love and care, regardless of their past. However please be aware I may not be able to host them at my home. Thank you.

MEET AND GREET
Before your pet and I get to start hanging out, we need to have a meet and greet! I am generally happy to do this on the day you need me to begin caring for the pet as I do take last minute bookings where I can. I will give you an info sheet to fill out for me either online or on paper so I can get to know your pets better and have all required information together.
PICK UP/DROP OFF
I can do this within 20kms of my home for a charge of $15 per trip.
1. PET HOSTING - your fur kids at my house, overnight stay!
I live in a small house with a large backyard with my partner, our multiple fish and our 2 cats, Cricket and Bandy. Cricket and Bandy are very good and patient with other cats and small dogs and love to play! If your pet is not okay with cats, please let me know. We can easily separate them and give your pet their own luxury suite!
We do live in a shared house with small dogs, however they live upstairs and only go outside for a short period of time each day. If your pet requires outdoor time (dogs/puppies), we will work easily on a rotating roster to ensure no contact with the Dogs Upstairs for everyones safety and piece of mind, and so your pet gets quality outdoor time. Our yard is large and fully fenced in with no escape holes in the fencing. Your pets will be sleeping indoors with their own room to ensure their safety and comfortability. There will not be any unsupervised pet mixing overnight.
I can host up to 2 pets at any time.
Please bring with you: bedding, favourite toy, usual food, food bowl, treats, collar, leash (if needed), any medications, cage for small animals, brush if needed, litter tray for cats
IMPORTANT: Your dog MUST have a collar with your contact details, no exceptions. This is to ensure the safety of your pet in the case of an emergency/escape.
All pets MUST be up to date with flea and worming, vaccinations and have a microchip. I cannot accept animals that have transmissible disease/s in my home as this is a safety risk to my own family and pets. IF you do have a pet that doesn't fit these requirements, I am able to pet sit at your home or can come for day visits, depending on the disesase. I do not host aggressive pets at my home due to the risk to my own family and pets.

For our pet daycare service, we can accept up to 2 pets at a time. On sunny days, your pets will be out playing in the large, fenced and grassed yard with a range of different toys to choose from our Toy Box, or your pets own favourite toy! We have a nice shady undercover area for your pets to relax in the shade and replenish with some water. On a rainy days we will be mostly playing indoors to keep our feet nice and clean!

Nyissa looked after my German Shepherd for two months while I was away for school. She sent me photos everyday and my dog was so incredibly in love with her. She handled him very well and I was very impressed with how she handled his little mood swings. You can really tell she loves all pets, it was really comforting knowing I could leave my fur baby and everything would be okay because he was in such capable hands.
