Short story of my 1st pet sitting job:
For 2 weeks I house sat/walked 2 dogs. The 1 rescue dog had an abusive past with men who wore black clothes, so I wore the lightest clothes I owned (see profile picture). The following was shocking to see, but it made me want to go through with the booking even more. The rescue dog was super nervous, actively shaking and hiding behind the dining room table. After 4 days of careful tone of voice, playing ball, feeding and keeping my boundaries, she finally allowed me to put the harness on her and take her for a walk. At the beginning I truly didn’t believe I could do that, but my determination paid off. This was very rewarding, because I succeeded in making her feel safe, against all odds....
