With dogs, there are no shortcuts. What you put in is what you get out, but there are few things in this world more validating than committing to improving your relationship with your dog, putting in the work, seeing positive results and being able to think to yourself "I did that!"
I began professionally training dogs in 2013 and after a few years of travel had settled in Melbourne and is looking to get back to it. She hopes you'll join her on the ever continuing journey to understand and care for our fuzzy friends to the best of our abilities. Everybody deserves to have a rich, fulfilling relationship with their dog, and Jay's here to help get us there.
Ear cleaning, teeth cleaning and a quick brush out are included with every service. I use positive training methods, practice preventative healthcare, and keep you engaged with your dog's progress every step of the way. Nail trims are optional at an extra cost.
Dog Walks:
A one on one 1 hour walk with me and your dog. I do treat training and practice calm, heeled, on-leash marches as we walk so your dog is mentally and physically tired by the end of the hour.
Pet sitting/Daycare:
I have a fully enclosed yard with lots of room for structured play time anda three bedroom house for downtime and cooling off. A one hour mentally stimulating walk (as above) is included. I believe that a dog that is mentally stimulated is more content.
Dog Training:
Dogs are simple. People are complicated. I hope to help bridge the language barrier between the species and bring us closer to our canine companions through improving our relationship with them. Whether it is training the basics, leash walking, house manners, recall, advanced obedience, tricks, resource guarding, healthcare desensitizing, or other fear-related behaviours; I've got you covered.
When I am not playing with puppies for a living, I can usually be found cooking up a storm with my partner, wandering through the woods, or serving happy customers at her cafe job.
