Hello,
My name is Jade, I am 18 years old. Here is a little bit about me.
At school I was fortunate enough to be selected for a leadership school program in term 1 of 2016 (Snowy River School of Leadership) from this experience I gained skills in teamwork and my confidence improved.
I completed a certificate for ‘basic food hygiene skills’, CPR, and lifesaving. As well as this I was awarded a Sustainability leadership badge and an award badge for confidence and public speaking.
In year 10 to 11, I stated my studies and was awarded a Certificate II in Animal Studies.
During the course of my studies i was lucky enough to foster 2 kittens. Possum (female, black and white, long hair) and Puddles ( male, white and black, short hair.) each with their own sad stories behind their names. I was so ready to take on this challenge of making them adoptable, which i did! I had them in my care for about 2 weeks, and boy did they open up... well eventually. they are now living their best lives and I'm so glad I got to be apart of their growing up journey.
I had also looked after an old friends dog, Echo. she's a healer and probably only about 2 years old at the time. She had no social skills and was extremely nervous about everything and everyone around her. But I was determined to help, still not knowing what i was getting myself into. I taught her a lot of new skills and tips on how to be a good dog. Her and I instantly clicked and spent everyday together, Echo got to meet heaps of my friends which helped her socialise better. you could really tell she tried to trust people. It was really sad to see her go.
I currently work Monday and Saturday at the Mornington Lodge Pet Resort. I work with dogs the whole day and feed them, medicate them, bath them, play with them, coordinate them into the yards and clean up after them along with their pens and bedding.
And last but not least. I currently don't have my licence but I am working very hard to get it, asap. In saying that, I do have lots of family members willing to help me get around!
Looking forward to meeting you and your animal/s.
