About Rose
I am a mature, quiet-natured lady, with many years' experience with dogs. I live with my husband, Michael.
We're lovers of all animals, especially dogs, and particularly dachshunds, which we had for many years. During the summer months we are based in Sandy Bay, Tasmania, where I operate a home-based dachshund minding service "Longfellows".
In winter, we often travel north to escape the Tassie cold. We like to include some house-sits when we travel to meet and care for more dashies.
We have also enjoyed caring for other dog breeds, cats and birds through house-sitting, and also have experience with alpacas and mini ponies from a hobby farm we had ourselves for 19 years.
We're experienced with pups to seniors and dogs with special needs (eg, IVDD, Diabetes, Dementia, Separation Anxiety, Blind/Deaf etc). I have completed First Aid/CPR training.
