About Christine
** For the duration of Covid-19, we can arrange "contactless" drop off's for our clients. We live in a house, so we understand it may be tricky achieving this for meet and greets, prior to the actual stay. But together, I'm sure a solution to this can be found. **

My partner Dwain and I are devoted animal lovers, and have been the proud "parents" of lots of animals, ie, cats (at one point we had six) dogs, birds, fish, rabbits and chooks. We've both also had experience handling farm animals, ie, alpaca and sheep. Here in Durras, we've rescued a number of feather-tail gliders, releasing them back to the trees. They are so cute!

We have lived on farms, and at one point, had two aviaries - one with cockatiels and a rosella we'd rescued, and the other aviary with two Alexandrine parrots.

Currently we have three cats and a small dog (Maltese Shitzu x Jack Russell).

We are happy to sit one or two small to medium dogs at a time, so long as all pooches get along, and that your doggies are fine with cats.

We can also come to your home, feed your pets, take your dog for a walk, clean out cages...all things that are part of looking after animals. If you have caged birds, you're welcome to bring them here also.

Dwain seems to be the pied piper of animals of all shapes and sizes, whereby I'm more the pied piper of cats. While I love all animals, I gravitate to cats, as they do me. But Dwain draws all animals like bees to a honey pot. Last year, he was walking around our yard with three wild King Parrots - one sitting on his head, one on his shoulder and the other on his arm. That was hugely amusing to a little boy who was walking past with his parents, not to mention us!

We are both kind and gentle to pets, and love them for their individual quirks and personalities. Our own pets are our children, and any others we care for, will be treated the same way.

NB: Photos in our photo gallery don't include any of me with any of our pets, either past or present, as it's usually ME who takes the photos lol!

Christine and Dwayne took great care of Piper who was well and happy when we collected her. Their friendly communication was appreciated as was their flexibility regarding drop-off and collection times.
