About Jess
Love for all animals great and small. Lots of experience with axolotls, fish, cats, dogs, horses, cattle, donkeys. Good at going above and beyond expectations to meet the needs and comforts an animal requires. Exceptionally skilled at giving scratches and treats!
I've had previous experience caring for others animals, be it cats, dogs or horses. I've had work experience with equine veterinary services and small animal veterinary services. I currently train in an obidience sport with my own GSD.
Growing up, I've had cats, dogs, horses and cattle as pets. Currently I have two horses, and a 2 year old German Shepherd. I've grown up around all sorts of animals and as a result know how to care for a wide variety of animals. This knowledge has led to many of my friends requesting me to look after their beloved furry family members when they go away temporarily. Looking after friends and family's animals has given me great experience in looking after animals that have a variety of different requirements or needs.
I'm a quiet, cheerful person and animals are a large part of my life, which is why I've made the decision to be a professional pet sitter. I have a profound respect for owners and their choices on how to care best for their animals, and can deliver motivation and experience in following instructions unique to caring for your pet. I have not completed any training courses as such (except puppy preschool with my own dogs!), but I have experience with successfully training animals, and currently train in an obidience dog sport, so if you give instructions on training you would like you animal to receive, I can assist. On top of that your animals can expect lots of love, care and attention, exercise as needed and mental stimulation (aren't toys and playtime just the best?!) and you can expect photos/updates at a frequency of your preference (daily, weekly etc).
My house is a pet friendly house with animals allowed inside, so your pet's needs will be catered to whether they are an indoor or outdoor animal (or both!). There is a large, fully enclosed backyard for playing in with plenty of space. I am happy for your furry family members to stay in the same room as me when sleeping, or if they prefer space I have a garage in which their own space can be set up.
Who is in the house? Besides myself, I have two house mates who loves animals as much as I do, their dog Banjo (who is a big friendly cuddly love-bug) and my own German Shepherd Lexie who is a bundle of energy and loves playtime and games (she will bring your pets all of her toys!). The dogs are super friendly and happy to share their space, toys, water, everything! They are very welcoming of other animals and seem to see all pets as new friends and additions to our little animal family.

NOTE:
I am currently exercising COVID-19 precautions.
- I have not travelled anywhere overseas in the previous year.
- I will not be accepting bookings from customers who have been overseas or in any affected areas in the last 14 days.
- I am wearing masks at meet and greets, and adhering to maintaining social distancing of 1.5meters.
- If I feel that I am getting sick when a booking is approaching I will let all customers know and exercise proper precautions or cancelation of bookings (the pet and owner's safety comes first).
