I have a 12yo Cattlestaff and have walked him daily since I acquired him at 1yo. He has been a handful and I have patiently trained him. He is perfectly house trained, but so difficult to walk. He has a strong chase instinct (from the Cattledog) and is physically strong (from the Amstaff). I have managed to figure out how to avoid problems, and never let the behaviour stop me from walking him.
He has been attacked while I was walking him on two occasions, which I have found a wonderful solution for.
I have picked up many escaped dogs over the years because they would come and greet us on our walks. The dogs would naturally walk with us, and I would take them home and drive them to the vet to read the microchip. This has given me so much joy to see the owners get their pet back.
I am looking for a little extra work in my spare time and would love to walk dogs, or house sit pets. I have my own car complete with rear seat cover and seatbelt connection for transporting dogs....
