I've always immediately connected with animals because they are very good judges of character hence why I've never had a bad job interview between myself and the animals I've been entrusted to care for.
I grew up with animals in my childhood in the inner west of Sydney and quickly came to appreciate how the simple things in life brought great joy.Whether I was mucking around with my dog or patting someone else's, I found being around animals was the one of the most positive experiences I encountered.
And so a few years ago I joined the wonderful world of Pet Care. In 2014 I began house sitting for other people's animals including dogs, cats and birds and I enjoyed the responsibility of ensuring they got the best care possible so they wouldn't feel out of place while their owners were gone and they could have a good time with their new mate.
Seeing the difference you can make in the personality and behaviour of an Animal that has experienced good care and understanding is the brightest part of my role as an Animal Butler.
Josh is currently enrolled in tertiary studies to upgrade his knowledge and skills in delivering quality care and healthy practices in assisting a range of animals with different needs and from a variety of backgrounds.
When not providing Animal Butler services to the wonderful variety of pets registered on Mad Paws, Josh also volunteers for the Jack Russell Rescue Society in North-Western Sydney.
My motto comes from a great quote by Taiwanese writer, Charles Yu.
"If I could be half the person my dog is, I'd be twice the human I am."
