About Kylie

I have been a passionate animal and creature lover my whole life. I have owned, shared or borrowed(!) dogs, cats, mice, birds, fish, turtles, bunnies, axolotls, horses, cows and sheep!

I cannot kill bugs or any other creatures that jump into my space or home as all creatures have reverence in my life. I have also been learning animal communication over the years and although still a novice this has just deepened my passion for animals and nature. Most dogs come up to me and lick me as they know that I am tuning in!

I previously worked with an educational institution in New Zealand that taught animal and environmental sciences and as such learnt a lot from our veterinary and animal behaviour teachers. I also spent a lot of time in the animal unit that we ran for our students which housed goats, chickens, bunnies, rats, mice, guinea pigs, turtles and also had a reptile room with a few lovely specimens like (on of my favourites), the Australia water dragon.

Now, as a mature full-time student (from home) I can dedicate more time to being #thefurrysitter (my online brand in the making) and give your pet as much love as they require. The dog pictured, Alfie, was one of my regular clients in NZ with his big sister, Maisie.

For your peace of mind, I hold a Criminal Check with the Ministry of Justice in NZ and a National Police Certificate (the Australian equivalent).

I do have one caveat, I will only take on doggie assignments with dogs that have had basic training and are socialised with other dogs. Thank you!
