About Eileen
Hi There! Tomas and myself are in our late 50s and have semi- retired early. Between the 2 of us we have a good amount of time to give your pet attention and company. We have no kids, nor pets of my own and usually only take 1 booking at a time. Through the occasional volunteer work that we do over the course of the year we hold current police clearances.
HOMESTAY WITH US NOTES:
A homestay may be hosted by either or both of us together, depending on other house-sit bookings at the time We can only manage small sized, toilet trained dogs, minimum 18 months old. If your dog is larger we can only take them if they are fairly low energy and placid. If your dog is younger or more excitable I prefer to look after them as a House-sit, at your place. We live in Underdale facing the River Torrens Linear Park, have a fully fenced back garden with a small doggy door for access in and out of the house. We usually don't mind if your pet wishes to share our bed with us, if this is what they are used to, as we would like them to follow their routine so that they are as relaxed as possible. We tend to be requested to look after many pets that are timid of other pets, as we only take one booking at a time. If your pet is left alone it would not be anticipated that this would never be for more than 4 hours at any time, except on the rare occasion when it may be longer. Happy to take them for a walk as part of the service if they are easy to control on a lead. You will receive plenty of updates over the course so that your time away from your pet can also be relaxing and reassuring.
Please note that a 1 night booking is for a 24 hour period.
HOUSESITTING NOTES House Sits can be undertaken by either of us. We only accept housesits in smoke free households and eventhough we rarely work, we still may occasionally require some time out of the house, so we cannot be expected to be home 24-7, so please discuss expectations with us. Happy to take them for a short walk as part of the service and can administer medication but will need some direction if IV is required. If your pet is left alone it would not be anticipated that this would be for more much than 4 hours at any time. We have been a part-time house sitters since early 2000s. Eileen has also managed accommodation in the tourism sector but we both so have a high level of maintaining cleanliness. You will receive plenty of updates over the course so that your time away from your pets can also be relaxing.

Our dog Oscar is a sensitive soul, but he was relaxed and happy from the moment he met Eileen and Tomas. We loved receiving the photo updates of Oscar’s adventures and he came home pampered and content. I think he wants to stay with them forever because on his first walk after his holiday, he was determined to drag us back to Eileen’s place!
