About Laura

Hi there!
I’m an animal lover and have been since birth! My greatest passion is to ensure high levels of animal welfare, with the aim that every creature gets to experience peace, freedom and happiness.

I have had a long career caring for animals, volunteering for the RSPCA from the age of 19, starting wildlife rescue at the age of 30, to beginning work as a zookeeper the following year, followed by 4 years of working at animal shelters; as an animal attendant caring for the needs of rescued animals in an animal welfare setting.

I am experienced in the care of birds, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and Australian wildlife.

I am experienced in administering medication to all of the above species of animals.

I have several relevant tertiary qualifications such as a cert III in Animal studies and a cert III in captive animals.

I’m also happy to assist with watering plants, taking mail inside, leaving lights on/off or anything else you might require for security and peace of mind whilst going away on holidays.
I’m also experienced in garden maintenance.

I have learnt much about animal care, and I would be honoured to assist you in caring for your pet’s needs in any way that I can.
