I have been surrounded by pets during my childhood, having a Labrador who followed us around and kept tabs on us as we wandered the neighbour hood with our friends.
The teenage years were packed with pets and responsibilities.
We had a border Collie to keep us company. He rang rings around us making sure his herd was always well within his sights. He had a lot of energy to spare as did we, so he came at a good time in our lives.Along with our border Collie we had cats. At one time we had a Burmese who talked non stop then had two rescue cats who were definitely quieter. Different family members wanted different pets ... we also kept fish.
All these lovely experiences with pets made us want us to share our respect for animals with our children, so our house has always been filled with fun and laughter with our cats, dogs plus some fish.
It has been a few years since our last dog. Our youngest son would like us to have another dog, as does the whole family.
We are unsure what we would like so we have taken this opportunity to be pet minders to care for different pets to give us a solid basis to help make a decision.
For pet owners looking for personal daycare or looking for boarding facilities we have a large backyard which is fully enclosed and secure. The fences are in good order.
For the outside loving dogs we have hardy plants! There are bushes which they can shelter and sandy patches for the important sand bath!
We run our business from home, we have a son going into Uni so there is always someone home for your pet meaning there is always someone to love your pet.
