I lost my beautiful Dingo/Kelpie Apollo mid-2015 after 12 wonderful years together. He was 14 1/2 and died peacefully of natural, age-related causes. He was a favourite wherever I took him, and I would like to share my experience and love for dogs with others.

Now, after a year, I decided to adopt another dog. A Kelpie Mix by the name of Callie. She turned two early July 2026 and is adopting nicely to city life, something she has never experienced. Her kind nature mixes well with the Kelpie energy and agility, and as of July 2026, she has learnt to accept a Madpaws guest for a week, so I am comfortable accepting more furry friends.

I live in a garden unit in an estate called Wondakiah, which has large nature areas ideal for walking dogs - on or off leash - but also with a large terrace if the weather is bad. There are also two parks nearby, allowed for off-leash if the owner so chooses.

I prefer to have an opportunity to get to know the dog I look after, so I look for minimum an overnight stay and ideally a few days or more.

An overnight stay is 24 hours - drop in the morning; pick up next morning. A weekend is one overnight stay plus one day.

I do a bit of business administration from home but am essentially retired.
