Hello! My name is Jessica. I live with my Husband, three daughters, and one baby boy (6, 5, 3 and .5 years old) and we all adore animals. We have always had pets (dogs and cats) until recently, when we lost our beautiful ragdoll cat Doctor Mittens.
We work from home, so we have lots of time and love to give to your fur baby.
About me: I have a background in Dietetics and Music and I am taking time off work to hang out with the kids in their early years. My husband is an engineer and also works a lot from home. I have always been an animal lover. Growing up, we always had dogs and cats and we were taught how to take good care of them. We are respectful and compassionate animal lovers and we would love to look after your doggo! My three girls adore animals and are very gentle, and will give your fur-maly member ample attention. My husband and I have experience in pet sitting, and my husband spent many years of his life volunteering for Wacol RSPCA.
We can board two animals at a time. They will be safe in our medium sized backyard surrounded with high fences, and a comfortabe space to sleep. They will be able to come into the tiled spaces in our home (downstairs,) which is where we spend our time.
Most of our dogs sleep inside, but that's something we will discuss at your meet and greet to work out how we can best accommodate the needs of your doggo.
Sometimes dogs can feel a little anxious in a new environment, and with that there may come some undesirable behaviours. We have experience accommodating these and can love and support your pet through their challenges. Please understand that in the unlikely event that there are damages to the property (like chewing blinds or extensive damage to doors) or furniture that we can't easily move (like tables or chairs,) we would require reimbursement by dog owners. Given our previous experience, we are no longer able to take very strong dogs, or dogs who suffer from diagnosed anxiety, even if they are the most lovable and wonderful little friends.
When you come for your meet and greet, be transparent about your pet's needs so we can tailor our services to make them most comfortable, and keep an eye out for anything in the environment that may make their stay challenging; where possible we can move or change things around to make life easier for them :) ...
